2.1. Please unplug the lower electrode cap of the electrode before use. For Saturated calomel electrode, when you take the pole cap off, it is recommended to remove the upper side cap of the electrode at the same time to avoid the pressure difference between the electrode and the lower end of the electrode, so that the flow rate of fluid choroid part will not be too fast. If the electrode leakage goes too fast at the lower end of the electrode, please remove the upper side cap of the electrode in time and wait for a while.
2.2. It is normal to have a small amount of salt crystallization around the outer wall of the glass tube, which is the KCl dissolution of slow leakage in the glass tube Liquid, rinse with water, it does not affect the normal use of electrodes.
2.3. The salt bridge in the electrode should not contain bubbles, so as not to block the measurement circuit or cause abnormal test curve, if there are bubbles, flick the electrode with fingers to make the bubble float.
2.4. When measuring, please keep the salt bridge liquid level in the electrode higher than the test electrolytic solution, so that to avoid the test solution osmosis electrode solutions to cause the changes of solution concentration or composition.
2.5. Electrodes should not be used for the measurement of any medium has reaction with salt bridge solution, especially the formation of mediator of the precipitation reaction nature , it will block the micropore of the fluid choroid part and scrap the electrode. When you have to use it in different concentration KCl or other reaction medium, it is recommended to add a salt bridge between the electrode and the tested solution to make isolation.
2.6. The electrode body should be often cleaned and replaced with the salt bridge solution, the general attachment contamination should be cleaned in time, to keep the liquid choroid working properly.When refilling the solution into the reference electrode, first remove the glue cap of the injection port of the upper part of the electrode, extract and clean the original salt bridge solution with the syringe,then inject the new solution into it, the action must be gentle in case the head of the syringe needle broken electrode core.
2.7. When taking the electrode cap, do not expose the electrode to the air for a long period of time (for minutes), otherwise the solution in the tube will leak and evaporate and dry, which may affect the electrode performance. If user donot use the electrode in short-term, please immerse the liquid choroid of the electrode in saturated KCl medium, If the user will not use electrode for a long time, please replace new saturated KCl medium to electrode salt Bridge and sealed store up the electrode from light.
2.8. The potential of the reference electrode is limited, please be attention to avoid using excessive current or voltage.
2.9. Electrodes should not be cleaned under ultrasound
2.10. The salt bridge solution of electrode is saturated KCl, If it must be changed during use, please note,the electrode potential may change due to changes in the concentration and composition of the salt bridge solution, it may also have an impact to the service life of the electrode.
2.11. The inner core of the electrode is composed of mercury and its compounds, even if you do not use it, long-term placement can still cause Electrode failure, manifested as inaccurate potential and internal turbid reference solution
2.12. For electrodes that have been stored for a long time (if they are still in validity period), it is recommended to replace the salt bridge solution before use, then stand it for at least 4 hours before use
2.13. Do not attempt to disassemble the electrode, as it cannot be restored once disassembled.
